Paws4life training academy shall provide professional consultative and instructional services for the dog(s)’ owner(s); handler(s) (herein known as the Student), socialising, basic obedience, poison and hazard proofing of dogs, leadership and desensitising, as well as specialised courses such as protection training with different categories and tracking.

Student responsibility
The Student understands and agrees that it is critical for him/her to co-operate fully in completing all training sessions scheduled for each program. The Client understands and agrees that his/her dog(s) may not perform to the level of demonstration dog after completion of chosen training schedule. The Client is responsible for maintaining his/her dog training practices at home, pursuant to Trainer’s instruction.

Limitations
The Client understands and agrees that not all dogs are trainable to the same extent, and that the ability to train a dog to an acceptable level of performance may be dictated by factors beyond the control of the Trainer. Such factors may include, but are not limited to, age, previous conditioning, breeding, physical and psychological health, individual temperament, length of training schedule, and the Client’s involvement. The Trainer shall not be held responsible for poor dog training performance due to limitations beyond the control of the Trainer.

Waiver, Assumption of risk and agreement to hold harmless
I hereby certify that I understand that the training and handling of dogs might present a risk of injury to myself and others and/or damage to property. I (or in the event of a minor, the parent or guardian) hereby assume full responsibility for any actions resulting in such loss or damage caused by my dog(s). I further agree to hold harmless, the trainer, Paws4life training academy, its owners and agents, from all liability for any loss, injury (personal or otherwise) or property damage in any way resulting from my enrolement and attendance of this course. Any legal expenses incurred in defence or enforcement of this agreement shall be my total responsibility.

This release is intended to discharge the trainers, Paws4life training academy, owners and agents from and against any and all liability arising out of or in any way connected with such activities.

Minors who wish to enrol for this course may do so only with the permission of a parent or guardian and at the sole discretion of Paws4life training academy. This is to protect both the child and dogs. Minors must be supervised by an
adult/parent at all times.

Copyright
It is understood that the books of Paws4life as well as all other intellectual property are copyrighted and may not be copied and distributed without the explicit permission of Paws4life. Paws4life thanks you for respecting such copyright and helping to protect continuity of Paws4life services.

It is also understood that photographs, video or other footage may be taken during classes. I hereby grant Paws4life my permission for any resulting footage to be used for advertising or educational material and I understand that the resulting footage is the sole property of Paws4life.

Cancellation and transferal
It is understood that classes are non-transferable. If you miss more than 2 classes, you may be incorporated with another group at the discretion of Paws4life. You will be consulted on this before incorporation.

Certification
At the end of the course you will be eligible for the Certificate of Achievement. In order to qualify for this certificate, you must attend all classes in your course in full. If you miss a class in your schedule you will be invited to an alternative lesson, which must also be attended in full. In addition, there will be an assessment during the last class. I therefore wish you to understand that your commitment to practising with your dog(s) is vital and that it would not only enhance the benefit and enjoyment of this course, but your dogs will love you for it.

My dog’s health
Please show your dog’s vaccination certificate upon enrolment. Your dog will only be accepted to training if it has updated vaccination including distemper, rabies and cat flu as well as deworming of no less than 6 months ago. Vaccination against kennel cough is also required. The Client certifies that my dog is in good health and has not been ill with any communicable conditions within the past 30 days. My dog has not been exposed to Rabies, Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus, or Bordetella (kennel cough) within a 30- day period prior to enrolment. The Client further certify that the animal is current on all vaccinations including Parvo-virus or cat flu, Distemper, Infectious Hepatitis, Kennel Cough and Rabies with the last vaccination having been received no less than seven (7) days prior to enrolment. The Client agrees to provide proof of vaccinations prior to the start of the training course. The client further agrees to keep his/her dog’s vaccinations up-to-date during the training course.
